On Tuesday, March 6, the newspaper staff was pleased to spend the afternoon with a local troop of first year Cub Scouts. As part of a “See-And-Tell” workshop for their troop, the boys were eager to see exactly how a newspaper runs.

 
The article began when Sports Editor Nick Rozzo snapped a picture on his iPhone of the crowd outside of the main office in hopes of scoring pre-sale tickets to the North-Colts Neck basketball game. Nick then emailed the photo to Editor-In-Chief Chloe Mullen-Wilson's email account. Editor Lindsay Donohue then edited the picture and uploaded it onto The Lions Roar website while editors Megan Tuohy and Christy Fox wrote an article to accompany the photo. The article and photo were then attached and were published to The Lions Roar website.
 
The Cub Scouts and their mothers were very impressed with how quickly events turn into stories and then newspaper articles. It was a pleasant afternoon for the Cub Scouts, parents, and the staff.
