Starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams, “The Vow” came out in theaters on February 10, 2012. The seemingly perfect Valentine’s Day flick, this film seems to be getting many mixed reviews. Whether viewed as a corny, predictable film or an extremely romantic one, the reviews of this film seem to be awesome or not at all. In my opinion, it was extremely disappointing.
When I went to see “The Vow,” I expected it to be an enjoyable, romantic film. Within the first five minutes, however, I was extremely disappointed. Having far spielautomaten too many parallels to “The Notebook” (including the same lead actress), the plot seemed to
be extremely unoriginal.
Though there were major differences, including the aspect of a car crash and a few unexpected twists and turns, the main theme of “amnesia” seems to be all too present. It seemed like a cute movie from the start, but, despite Channing Tatum’s good looks, his acting skills are severely lacking.
While in the movie theater it seemed like the majority enjoyed it (namely the hysterically crying younger girls in the row behind me), I have heard a large amount of mixed reviews on this film. In my book, it was not one of the best, and with my expectations set high for this film I was really let down.
