On Saturday December 17, the girls winter track team traveled to New York to compete in the annual New York Armory meet. Hundreds of teams from around the country competed against our North runners. The intense competition, propelled by both Jordan Fleming and Devon Freshnock, led to breaking school records.
Competing in the 600 meter race, Jordan Fleming beat the school record with a time of 1:33. Fleming came in fifth place overall in completion.
Devon Freshnock, a junior, competed in the 300 meter race, beating the previous school record by four seconds with a time of 36 seconds. Freshnock came in first place in her heat.
