On Thursday, October 13, I had the pleasure of seeing The Script live at Roseland Ballroom.
Hot Chelle Rae opened for them, and were very prompt. I despise when the opening act takes forever on stage, but HCR was very punctual; I enjoyed the five or so songs that they performed.
The Script came on stage and there was a surge from the crowd. Now things were getting exciting.
Danny O’Donoghue’s voice reverberated through the entire ballroom, and that man can sing. Constantly reminding us they were from Dublin, Ireland, their accents rang out, and I got shivers every time a distinctly European phrase was used.
To impeccable music, The Script added interesting cinematography to the background, which I quite enjoyed, actually.
Though this was their second-album-titled “Science & Faith” Tour, they didn’t actually play too many songs from “Science & Faith.” I didn’t really have any complaints, seeing as how “The Script” is a beautiful album. My one regret is “Rusty Halo.” It’s a despicable song, but fortunately, the only one of The Script’s that I don’t like.
The venue was clean and very organized. Not many places can successfully contain thousands of people without there being issues. Fortunately, I found the climate and the environment to be extremely pleasant.
The Script absolutely blew my mind, to be honest. They are so intensely devoted to their music, and it shows. At one point, Mark took out his camera and took a picture of the audience. It’s a tradition; they do it at every show and post it onto their Twitter, in order to celebrate and thank everyone for coming. They truly appreciate their fans.
The Script is, and will continue to be my favorite band, and I absolutely cannot wait for them to start another tour and bring it over to America.
