The Middletown High School North Choir, under the direction of Peter Isherwood, is stepping into the winter season with energy, talent, and a growing list of accomplishments. With the annual Winter Concert quickly approaching and a strong presence in regional choral programs, the Lions’ vocal ensembles continue to shine as one of the school’s most vibrant performing arts groups.
The choir’s highly anticipated Winter Concert will take place on Wednesday, December 17 at 7:00 PM in the MHSN Theater. Admission is free, and families, friends, and community supporters are encouraged to fill the auditorium for a festive evening of choral music. The program will feature a variety of seasonal selections and ensemble performances showcasing the talent and dedication of vocalists from grades 9–12.
Director Peter Isherwood, now in his role as one of the building’s arts leaders, has continued to develop a choral program rooted in musicianship, collaboration, and confidence. Students have been preparing diligently for weeks, and audiences can expect a polished, heartfelt performance that highlights both individual and ensemble growth.
This year, Middletown North is proud to serve as a host site for the All Shore Chorus rehearsals, providing its theater and facilities for regional students to prepare for the annual performance. While MHSN will not host the concert itself, being selected as a rehearsal location underscores the school’s strong reputation for supporting fine arts programming and offering a welcoming space for young musicians from across Monmouth and Ocean counties.
Middletown North continues its tradition of excellence with an impressive group of students selected for the 2025–2026 All Shore Chorus. These singers earned their spots through competitive auditions and represent some of the program’s strongest vocalists.
