Lights, camera, action! Middletown High School North is once again shining a spotlight on student creativity with the 8th Annual North Film Festival, set to take place at Smodcastle Cinemas in Atlantic Highlands on Thursday, June 5, 2025. The event, which runs from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., will conclude with a brief awards ceremony honoring student filmmakers.
Presented by the Middletown North TV Film classes and club, this marks the third year the festival is being held at Smodcastle Cinemas. Under the direction of TV Film and Production teacher Christopher Cullen, the festival offers students a unique opportunity to debut some of their best work created throughout the school year—including several films that will be screened for the first time ever.
Tickets are available for $8.00, and can be purchased online [Insert Ticket Link Here]. Some of the proceeds will go toward supporting the Middletown North TV Film Club, helping to fund future student productions and equipment.
The total run time for the program is approximately 140 minutes, including the awards presentation. The official film lineup will be announced prior to the event as students continue putting final touches on their projects.
Come out and support the rising filmmakers of Middletown High School North as they share their stories on the big screen at Smodcastle Cinemas.
