New sensation singer Noah Kahan, 26, released his album “Stick Season” in 2022, but did not get his recognition until 2023. The song “Northern Attitude”, was originally released with Kahan as the only singer, however he later added Hozier, 33, to the song. The song has Kahan reflecting on his experiences growing up in Vermont and how being “raised out in the cold” affected his attitude. Hozier, who grew up in Ireland, could also reflect on this same experience that Kahan had about the cold.

The two artists are not strangers to each other, however, as Hozier joined Kahan on stage to sing Northern Attitude before this song was released. They are also set to appear at the High Water Festival in South Carolina together in 2024.

The collaboration was released on November 10,2023, and Kahan commented, “The reason is you can now only listen to the version featuring Hozier. Northern Attitude with Hozier is coming out and that is the only version of the song that I’m comfortable with you listening to, from now until forever.”

This collaboration was something that made fans go crazy, including myself, as most people that are fans of Kahan are also fans of Hozier due to their similar musical qualities and the fact that they are very good friends. This collaboration brought new light to the music industry and this song was on the charts at #5.
