What would life be like if we could redo all of our life decisions?
Written in timeline events, Autumn grows up alongside her best friend, Finny, until their friendship begins to wither in eighth grade. Both characters navigate highschool by establishing relationships and finding out who they are.
Much like fall, senior year brings change to Pineville and Autumn finds herself being pulled towards Finny again. Which way will fate lead the both of them? Together or irrevocably broken apart?
Words cannot begin to describe the way I was drawn to this book. Nowlin creates a somewhat sense of uneasiness between both characters when they are isolated from one another. When they are magnetized back together, all seems right in the world again.
Nowlins descriptions of the seasons throughout the book sets the perfect tone and mood for each of Autumn’s feelings. I can’t help but love the contrast between Autumn’s introverted self and Finny’s charming personality. This book really encapsulated the tragedies in life and the gifts that come along with it. I would rate this novel a 9/10.
