Netflix’s hit TV Series Outer Banks released its third season Thursday, February 23. The original series has quickly jumped up the charts and is now the #1 streamed series on Netflix at the moment. The series is also already renewed for a fourth season.

The series follows a group of teenagers on their search for lost treasure.  It also features family, relationship and social drama. The teenagers live in Outer Banks, North Carolina where the social classes of the residents are divided into two groups. These are the Kooks, the rich people who live on the north side of the island, and the Pogues, the working class on the south side of the island.

The show stars Chase Stokes as the main protagonist John B. Routledge, Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Rudy Pankow as JJ Maybank, Madison Bailey as Kiara Carrera and Jonathan Daviss as Pope Heyward.

Season three of Outer Banks follows the story of the teenagers known as the Pogues as they are deserted on an island in the Caribbean, which they name Poguelandia. They are in search of large amounts of gold off a shipwreck, a golden cross and a relic known as El Dorado. After last season’s discovery of John B’s dad being alive after being missing for almost one year, this season is sure to be a wild one.

If you like treasure hunting shows with a hint of romance and teenage drama, this series is definitely for you. The vibe of the show is perfect for the summertime! Overall, Outer Banks is an amazing show taking Netflix by storm.
