Anything Goes

Anything Goes

Justin Poole, Staff Writer

Mrs. Mahoney and the Drama Club are preparing for their next performance, Anything Goes. Auditions were held this past week and practice will begin soon.

This musical was originally written in the 1934 by Cole Porter.  It is set aboard the S.S. American that is headed from New York to London.  The plot consists of an exciting love triangle through which friends join forces in order to help a man win the heart of his love.

Some of the star roles will be Sir Evelyn Oakleigh performed by senior Tyler Davis, Hope Harcourt performed by sophomore Lily Richichi and Elisha J. Whitney played by junior Jasper Nelson.  The full cast and crew will work hard in order to make this play a success.

The performances for Anything Goes will be held March 23 at 7 p.m. and March 24 at 2 p.m.  This musical will follow the performance of A Christmas Carol, which set the standards high and was viewed as an enormous success.  Be sure to come out and support your classmates and peers in their performance of Anything Goes.
