North Star Singer
A few students from the North Choir club have gone to Atlantic City for a singing convention and competition over the past weekend. The competition is very intense and singers were required to practice for eight hours a day before their showcase.
One of the choir members, Tyler Davis, has been in All State Choir for several years and went to the competition in Atlantic City. While interviewing him, Tyler said he has been involved for, ¨ 3 years¨. He has competed in many competitions in his years of being in all state.
When asked about the other choirs, Tyler answered with, ¨ The competition was tough and very good, but the performing and practices became long and tedious. With the eight to ten hour practices I just wanted to relax over my break.¨ Finally, when asking if he would recommend others to join All State, Tyler said, ¨ Yes it is a great experience especially if you want to go to college for singing, or anything with music.¨
The Allstate is an outlet to stand out above the rest. It raises the competition and level that musicians can perform at. It is also great on college applications.”
