A Night To Remember

MIDDLETOWN NJ- Middletown High School North’s Homecoming held on Saturday October 14, 2017 brought in hundreds of students and thousands of dollars for the Middletown North Senior Council, who will use the money to fund the senior’s prom in June.

Students- freshmen to seniors attended the event, dancing to music and performances from Blue Diamond DJ, which got mixed reviews from the crowd depending on what time guests showed up. His music included mostly a mixture of EDM, pop, and typical party dance songs: ei. the Cha Cha Slide and Cotton Eye Joe.

The dance was held from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M. Saturday night, and many of the students who left early finished their night with Applebee’s Late Night Apps.

Unnamed sources were asked what they thought of the DJ’s music, and while many thought the music was good, others defined it as bland and claimed that the random breaks and pauses in between were disruptive to the positive vibes throughout the night.

Just as there is for every homecoming, there was mixed reviews from the crowd that included both students and teachers. After asking several people from each of the groups the reviews never remained the same. Homecoming is what the students make it, but while some were able to enjoy it with the music they felt fit, others could not get past this and claimed to have had more fun afterwards out to eat.

Whether the students enjoyed the DJ or not, the night spent with friends and peers was still definitely one to remember.
