It is September once again and that means Apple is pulling out the big guns, and releasing a new iPhone.

This year it is the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Physically the phones look exactly the same as last years model the iPhone 6. Where everything has changed, is on the inside of these phones. Both of them have a much faster A9 processor, a new camera that is now 12-megapixels instead of the 8, that alone will make your selfies look better then ever. These cameras also now shoot video in 4K. This means that videos look amazing, more crisp and better colors in these videos to show your friends or family whatever it is you’re recording.

Speed, thats what the S stands for in the 6S, and this year apple isn’t messing around. The new A9 processor is up to 2X faster then lasts year’s A8 in the iPhone 6. It is also boosted with 2GB of ram, a much needed upgrade from the 1GB of ram. Apps load faster, web pages in safari your tabs don’t have to reload as much. The TouchID has also been improved for faster recognition of your finger print, people say that it’s a little too fast.

Apple’s flagship change to this years iPhone is the introduction of a new form of touch, they’re calling it 3D touch. This is a new part of the display that is built to sense the amount of pressure that is being applied to the screen. This can be used to open certain features of an app faster, and even add a whole new layer to gaming.

LivePhotos. That’s what Apple is calling a new feature in there photos app. Once the feature is enabled and you take a photo, the phone will record 1.5 seconds of action before and after your shot. Once in the camera the photo will look like a normal photo that is in till you 3D Touch the photo. This then makes the photo come to life. Think of it as a little homemade GIF.

This is the year that 2 year contracts seam to be dying out in exchange for leasing programs that allow you to get a new phone every year. This is when you trade in your current phone and lease the new iPhone. Apple’s own leasing program costs $32.45.
