Stranger Things Season 2 poster CR: Netflix

Last year’s hit  horror TV show released on Netflix called Stranger Things as just launched season 2.

Season two of this hit show was released October 27th and its viewer ratings are really strong. Practically everyone who owns Netflix was on their couch watching the show’s season two premiere and is gaining momentum moving forward during this nine intense episode production.  According to Netflix, “This thrilling Netflix original drama stars Golden Globe-winning actress Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, who lives in a small Indiana town in 1983 — inspired by a time when tales of science fiction captivated audiences. When Joyce’s 12-year-old son, Will, goes missing, she launches a terrifying investigation into his disappearance with local authorities. As they search for answers, they unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries involving secret government experiments, unnerving supernatural forces, and a very unusual little girl.”

The show focuses on the idea of a secret lab in town that none of the citizens know about. This lab tests on children and adults and gives them special powers. During one of the tests, the eleventh test subject (who’s a little girl) accidentally opens up a portal to another dimension. This dimension is a radioactive and run down version of earth called “the upside down”. There is only one life form in this dimension. It’s an evil humanoid creature with a huge mouth for a face. It kills people and plants it’s children in them somewhat like xenomorphs. After the portal is opened, the test subjects escapes from the lab. The main characters of this show are four middle school boys called Dustin, Lucas, Will, and Mike.

The monster goes through the portal and also escapes the lab. The boy Will was on his way home when the monster crosses his path and captures him and teleports him into the upside down, but Will escapes before he can be used as an incubator. While the other boys are out looking for Will. they come across the test subject who they name Eleven, or El for short. El somehow knows that Will was captured and was brought to the upside down. The season is based around the boys trying to find their lost friend who is going to die if this monster finds him who the kids named the Demogorgon.

Season 2 takes place only a few months after season 1 and trouble is already starting to begin. After Will is found alive things take an unexpected turn. Will gets possessed by the evil entity that is trying to kill everyone in its path. The final episodes of season 2 will put you on the edge of your seat and captivate you.  This intense thriller is a must see and you cannot not help but binge watch the entire season in one sitting if you have not done so already.
