When people think about Thanksgiving, they think about things like turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, apple pie, dinner rolls, and football. The holiday is about giving thanks and feasting, yet a sport has taken over the holiday and is synonymous with it.

On the holiday, there are games in high school, college, and the NFL, such as the one North played, and won, against Middletown South. There has been a recent decline in ratings in the NFL, but on Thanksgiving the ratings were very high. Although the holiday has little to do with the sport, the two have become intertwined.

Some people stay with their family all of Thanksgiving and feast. Others watch football all day, and some people do both. This Thanksgiving most people had a big decision to make, turkey or pigskin?
