The last game of the Middletown Intramural Girls Volleyball Club was November 1, 2018 at Middletown High School North. The game began at 5:30 P.M. and lasted approximately two hours.  The girls were excited to show their coaches just how much they have learned over the course of the last two months.

There was a great turnout of people in the stands helping cheer on the girls as they put forth their best efforts on the court.  Fans noted the many improvements in players’ skills from the first clinic all the way to the final game. The girls are hopeful that volleyball will eventually become a Varsity sport in Middletown.

There were six total teams that were part of the club this year.  The teams were comprised of students from both North and South. After the teams had played six games each, it came down to the two highest-ranked teams to battle it out in the finals.

‘Team One’ scored the most points overall, giving them the first place title in the end. ‘Team Two’ came in second place and ‘Team Six’ placed third overall.

However, the game was not about winning or losing.  It was about showcasing new skills and growth made over time. Each of the teams left it all on the court.  It was a remarkable way to end the clinics.  The Boys Volleyball Club will begin in the spring and more players are needed.
