#TeamMiddNorth Represents MHSN at Crop Walk

The 38th Annual CROP Walk will take place on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 1 PM. The walk’s main mission is to stop hunger for everyone in the world. With a lot of preparation for this event, Red Bank is expecting a lot of people to come and show their support by walking for a great cause.

Over the past few weeks, Middletown North’s Civic Leaders and Peer Leaders have been collecting donations to get both students and teachers involved.  Students may also donate one of the needed items, including peanut butter, rice, soup and beans. You may have noticed boxes in some of your teachers’ classrooms where food donations have been collected.  The student leaders are collectively trying to reach their goal of $5,000. This team is already the largest team registered and currently has two students in the top five for overall donations brought in.

This Friday, Civic Leadership and Peer Leadership hosted a “Jeans for Beans Day.”  For staff wearing jeans, the group asked that they either make a monetary or food donation to #TeamMiddNorth.  Student volunteers stood in the main office collecting donations.

The actual CROP Walk will start at Red Bank Regional High School. The walk will circle around a large portion of Red Bank for a total distance of five miles.  The CROP Walk Foundation is expecting a large turnout this year. Many colorful shirts, bracelets, signs and posters will be seen throughout the day. Live music, games and food will also be available for the walkers and supporters. Come join the cause to help end world hunger!
