Middletown North arrived in Washington D.C. this past week for a school related trip. Mrs. Murphy had a two day one night trip to Washington planned for a group of junior and senior students. The trip was made to explore and learn the history and significance of the city of Washington.
At 6:00 on Monday May, 21 one coach bus left taking for than 50 students and faculty on a five hour ride to D.C.. The day entailed a list of stops including National Space Museum, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Arlington Cemetery. One of the student son the trip Paul Petrucci said “That this was one of the most interesting trips I’d ever been on”. Many of the other students shared the same feelings.
The students and faculty stayed overnight at a Best Western Hotel in Virginia. After going to the Holocaust Museum the bus departed back to Middletown. At about 5:00 the bus returned letting off a group of happy and more knowledgeable students and staff.
