What does art mean to you?
World Art Day is April 15 this year and the Middletown Arts Center wants to celebrate it in a whole new way. The Pass the Sharpie Project, a collaborative video project and virtual exhibition, aims to celebrate how much art means to us, and YOU! The video will feature short clips sent in by students, MAC instructors, and patrons sharing what art means to them. We know how passionate our arts community is, so let’s celebrate it!
The video, inspired by TikTok and social media trends, features people passing a Sharpie marker from one to another (through the magic of editing) as they answer the question, “What does art mean to you?” The final video will serve as a virtual celebration of the community’s passion for the arts.
How can you get involved? Simple! Just record yourself (or someone else) according to the instructions at www.middletownarts.org/world-art-day and send us the clip. It takes less than a minute, and everyone will be included!
DEADLINE TO PARTICIPATE: April 12 at 5 PM
